Full state license

$500-$1,500

Board-specific eligibility and issuance are required. This is a planning fallback when no modeled compact privilege or telehealth registration covers the state; confirm requirements and fees before filing.

Timeline: Commonly 8-16+ weeks depending on state board, background checks, transcripts, and verifications.

Alaska PSYPACT FAQ

Is Alaska a PSYPACT state now?

Not yet for practice. The law is enacted but is not effective until September 20, 2026; enactment alone does not authorize telepsychology.

What route can a psychologist use in Alaska before then?

Use a full Alaska psychology license ($500-$1,500) until active PSYPACT participation is confirmed.

Will PSYPACT authorization become automatic on September 20, 2026?

No. Recheck the official PSYPACT jurisdiction list and Alaska's implementation status before practicing. E.Passport and APIT authorization will still be required after activation.
